A FIELD GUIDE TO SMALL DISASTERS

Simple rules.
Messy consequences.

Build a life

Choose Life → House, pick a building material, and click above the ground. A house holds four people. Add people, fruit trees, and berry bushes nearby. People walk, climb small steps, harvest food into shared stores, and head home. Keep paths mostly level: they cannot cross a cliff or a wall.

Trees and bushes regrow food. The little gold and pink dots are ready to pick. People get hungry over time; without food their health drops. Shelter protects them from cold nights and some storm damage. Fires, deep water, and lava are dangerous. A house with a broken floor or more than 28% of its shell missing stops providing shelter. Replace damaged walls with the same material to repair it.

Make a mess

Choose a disaster and click its target. Rain and hail fall above it; a tornado travels from it; earthquakes crack nearby ground; meteors leave craters. Try each material: wood burns, glass shatters, brick resists fire, and metal stands up best to storms. These are playful rules, not accurate science.

Explore & keep your world

Scroll or pinch to zoom, then use Pan, right-drag, or the overview to explore. Fit shows the whole map. With the world focused, arrows move the tool and Space places it; + / − zoom. Shift + Arrow moves one cell. In Pan mode, arrows move the view.

Undo restores the whole world before your last action and pauses it. Up to 12 actions are kept, including map switches, disasters, and loading a game. Save game downloads a resumable JSON file; Load game imports it. Saves include people, food, buildings, active disasters, and the view. Pictures are separate souvenirs. Download before closing or refreshing; there is no automatic save.

Reduced motion starts paused. Step advances one frame. Dialogs suspend time; hiding the tab pauses it. A world supports 120 people, 100 houses, 240 food plants, and 24 active disasters. No accounts, tracking, or server uploads.
